"I had an overall good experience with State Farm and this specific office… But I recently had to cancel my coverage with them. I bought a new car and their rate was too high, so I switched to another company. When I called to cancel, the woman I was transferred to was suspicious that I “didn’t sound like a 71 year old”… Almost like she didn’t believe me, or like I was pretending to be someone who I wasn’t. My after thought was to say - “is a 71 year old supposed to sound like their dying?” I wish I would’ve thought of that in the moment, but it caught me off guard. I understand that canceling isn’t going to make them happy, but professionalism should be first and foremost at all times. That comment and their overall attitude was disappointing. I wish my experience with them didn’t end this way, but it is what it is."
